News from the Community: New Local Platform Launched for Virtual Restaurant Fundraising

RVA has a new online platform to help nonprofits raise funds with the help of restaurants that goes beyond the traditional “Give Back Night”. The nonprofit organization earns the percentage back (determined by each restaurant) as fundraising profit. Supporters can also make flat donations through the same fundraising page.

Nonprofit Mobile App Contest Finalists

Over the past month, we received several incredible entries for our Mobile App Contest for Local Nonprofits in partnership with NS804 Apps & Commonwealth PR to offer the development of a mobile app, free of charge, to one local nonprofit in Greater Richmond, VA – including conception, development and marketing! The nonprofits were not asked to have a fully fleshed out app concept - but many had some great ideas in the works, already! Although, it was incredibly difficult to narrow down the submissions - we ultimately selected the top four finalists for the contest - (in no particular order) Historic Richmond, GRASP, MS Society Virginia Chapter and Rx Partnership! Here's a look at the video entries and more about these awesome organizations!
