Alcohol Education and Prevention Grants provide funding to organizations that are working to prevent underage and high-risk drinking. Community coalitions, law enforcement, nonprofits, schools, colleges and universities, faith-based organizations and prevention-related groups are encouraged to learn more by visiting https://www.abc.virginia.gov/education/grants
Grant applicants must address one or more of the following priorities: underage drinking prevention, social providing/social hosting prevention, or high-risk drinking prevention. The online training course will provide applicants with a structure to assess the needs of the community, identify their unique local issues, and explore what prevention best practices may work best for the selected objectives and audiences.
Grantees are encouraged to build partnerships and embrace collaboration to achieve a meaningful, and measurable, long-lasting impact. Members of the EPS team stay in contact throughout the grant cycle to provide support and encourage success.
Applications are due by 5 p.m. April 1. If you have any questions contact Amanda Vtipilson, Capacity Building Education and Prevention Coordinator at Virginia ABC at email@example.com
