PRSA Richmond is dedicated to providing nonprofit organizations in the Greater Richmond area pro bono support to help achieve their goals. Each year, the Public Service committee organizes events and programs aimed at providing pro bono services to area non-profit organizations.
Through the 2020 Public Service Collaborative, three local nonprofits will be selected to receive five virtual sessions between July and November during which PRSA members can volunteer to lend their expertise to provide support and mentoring. Programming for these sessions will be determined based on the need of the organizations that are selected, but sample session topics may include strategic communications planning, best practices in media relations and social media, and utilizing technology in today’s virtual world. There may also be opportunities to enlist the support of some communications students to offer pro bono services beyond the sessions.
The three nonprofit organizations will be selected following the application period which is open through 5 p.m. on June 30, 2020.
