Do you know someone, an organization, or a business that volunteers in Hanover County? Nominate them for the Spirit of Volunteerism Award today!

Don’t let the date slip away! Honor your neighbor, community hero or group for dedicating their time to make Hanover the best it can be. Hanover’s annual Spirit of Volunteerism Award nomination process is now open. The deadline to nominate is March 16th .

Awards recognize volunteer contributions in 8 categories: adults; youth; youth groups; groups; seniors; those serving 20 years or more for the same organization; families; and businesses. All nominees will be honored and award recipients will be announced at the annual Spirit of Volunteerism Celebration on May 14, 2018 at Hanover High School. This event is free and open to the public to celebrate the volunteer spirit within all of us. Guest Host will be Andrew Freiden, Channel 12 Weather Anchor.  All nominees will be acknowledged by the Hanover County Board of Supervisors and receive a nominee recognition gift.

Award recipients in each category will receive a plaque and a donation will be made in their name to the nonprofit organization/program or school of their choice. Nomination forms and details are available at http://www.Hanovervolunteers.org.
