ConnectVA teamed up with Southside Regional Medical Center and the Healthy Living & Learning Center @ the Petersburg Public Library to host a Health Services Fair in Petersburg.
By holding a Health Services Fair in the Tri-Cities region, ConnectVA created an opportunity to connect organizations who provide direct care to each other and to community members in need. Over 100 community members met with their local services providers which included:
- Crater Community Hospice
- Family Lifeline
- Flagler House/St. Joseph’s Villa
- NAMI Central Virginia
- Riverside PACE
- Petersburg Home for Ladies
- Goodwill Industries
- Pregnancy Support Center of the Tri-Cities
- The James House
- Yeshua’s House of Regue
- Crater Health District
- Job Corp
Southside Regional Medical Center’s Assistant Cheif Executive Officer Joe Wilkins opened the event with a behind-the-scenes overview of what’s new and coming in “Latest & Greatest with Southside Regional Medical Center”.
Following, Natalie Pennywell of the Healthy Living & Learning Center @ Petersburg Public Library shared how attendees could partner to improve health outcomes through the provision of accurate and reliable health information.
