2020 Virginia Governor’s Volunteerism & Community Service Awards

The Governor’s Volunteerism and Community Service Awards recognize the significant contributions of Virginia citizens to the life and welfare of the Commonwealth and its people. One award is presented in each of 10 categories. These outstanding award winners represent the millions of generous Virginians who offer their time and talents to others each year. Winners of the Governor’s Volunteerism Awards are honored annually at a special ceremony in April.
Senior Volunteer (Individual age 60+)
Adult Volunteer (Individual age 31-59)
Young Adult Volunteer (Individual age 18-30)
Youth Volunteer (Individual under age 17)
Volunteer Family (Family who volunteers together for specific project or organization)
Corporation (For-profit organization with 51+ employees)
Small Business (For-profit organization with 50 or less employees)
Faith-based Organization (Church or faith-based group involved in volunteer service)
Educational Institution (K-12 school or university/college involved in volunteer service)
Community Organization (Nonprofit, government or tax-exempt organization)
All nominations must be submitted by Friday, December 6, 2019, at 5:00 p.m. EST. All answers to questions must be 300 words or less.
