YOU can change a child’s story. Learn more about volunteering to be a voice for vulnerable children experiencing abuse or neglect.

Volunteers advocate for children aged from newborn to eighteen. Advocates come from all walks of life including a variety of professional and educational backgrounds. No special experience is required.

This virtual information session is the first step in learning more about volunteering as a CASA (Court Appointed Special Advocate) on behalf of a vulnerable child. Prospective volunteers must apply by January 21, 2022. The application process includes an interview, being fingerprinted, and the completion of a criminal background check and reference checks.

New volunteers participate in forty hours of free training before being sworn in at the Henrico Juvenile and Domestic Relations District Court.
