EV Charging Ribbon-Cutting and Film Screening

September 16 @ 12:00 pm - 2:00 pm

Join Drive Electric RVA and Virginia Clean Cities (VCC) to celebrate the largest privately-built charging facility for electric vehicles in greater Richmond at Libbie Mill – Midtown. Rep. Donald McEachin and the Honorable Harvey Hinson, Brookland District Supervisor in Henrico County, are scheduled to speak. Alleyn Harned, VCC executive director, will introduce the congressman.

After the formal remarks and ribbon-cutting, several electric vehicles will be on display and information will be available for those who want to learn more about this fun, practical transportation alternative. There will also be a screening of a documentary-in-progress called “EVolve: Driving a Clean Future in Coal Country.” The 20-minute film chronicles the challenges of EV advocacy in Kentucky.

The event is free and open to the public, but we encourage people to register: https://driveelectricweek.org/event.php?eventid=1172.
