Gallery Opening & Show: Joanna Tyka: Contradictions — Abstracts and Cityscapes

November 29, 2018 @ 7:00 pm - January 15, 2019 @ 8:30 pm

Opening Reception Thursday, November 29 at 7PM

Abstract and figurative forms are in contradiction to each other, but for Joanna Tyka, they’re parallel forms of her artistic expression. “I love to create cityscapes and landscapes to study form and composition. I need to create abstract paintings to express more in different timeframes and to relate a story by not telling one. Both are ways for me to find harmony in colors and composition. Abstract and figurative reconciled.”

This show will run in the Sara D. November Gallery November 29 – January 15.
