McShin Spring Awards Reception

The McShin Foundation’s 15th Annual Spring Awards Reception will be hosted in Washington D.C. this year, celebrating the achievements the recovery community is making on a national level.
Please join us for a reception, awards ceremony, and hors d’oeuvres on Thursday April 25th, 2019 at 6 PM on the Roof Top Terrace of 800 Maine Avenue SW, Washington, DC.
The reception will feature James Carroll, Director of the U.S. Office of Drug Control Policy, as the keynote speaker.
The McShin Foundation is proud to honor Stewart Van Scoyoc, President & CEO of Van Scoyoc Associates, with the NCADD Bronze Key Award for his continued dedication to advocacy and support for the authentic recovery community.
The National Council on Alcoholism and Drug Dependence (NCADD) presents various national awards to persons who have, in some way, made a contribution to the addictions field. The Bronze Key is a national award presented on bhealf of the NCADD at the affiliate level and is the highest award that can be given by the affiliate.
The Stigma Reduction Award will be presented to Delegate John Bell in recognition of his family’s honesty and transparency of the tragic loss of their son, Joshua, who struggled with Substance Use Disorders.
The Bob Gray Volunteer of the Year Award will be presented posthumously to Shaun Krouse, a McShin Foundation alum who continued to have presence at our recovery center for years, always willing to lend a helping hand. Shaun passed away on November 30, 2018.
