Nonprofit Boards 201- Boards Role in Advocacy Deep Dive

September 12 @ 5:30 pm - 7:00 pm

| $20

Following the success and feedback of the Board Leaders Roundtable series, the Community Foundation for a greater Richmond is pleased to introduce its first year of Nonprofit Boards 201 – Deep Dives!
In this series, we will take an in-depth look at very specific and highly relevant work facing nonprofit boards. You will have the opportunity to learn from our highly experienced facilitators, as well as other nonprofit board members across the region.

In session six of eight, we are once again led by Casey Emery, lawyer and COO at the Community Foundation, to take a deeper look at the board’s role in advocacy. After reviewing the many forms advocacy can take in the nonprofit sector, we will explore the legal, social, and organizational structures behind it. And finally ask, should your nonprofit be participating in advocacy efforts and if so, how?
