Special Education in Virginia Workshop
August 5, 2017 @ 9:00 am - 1:30 pm| $20
The disAbility Law Center of Virginia (dLCV) invites you to come explore your child’s journey through Special Education in Virginia.
The disAbility Law Center Foundation’s interactive training will…
…teach you to advocate for your child using information from federal law, state law, and the Virginia Department of Education.
…provide statutory language at your fingertips, so you can speak to educators and attorneys in a language they understand.
…include networking opportunities with other parents.
…include a copy (yours to keep) of SPED Manual.
Our presenters are eager to meet you face-to-face, answer your questions, discuss your child’s current special education related unmet needs, help you overcome your challenges, and provide step-by-step instructions.
Workshop topics will include in-depth discussions around Evaluations, Eligibility, IEPs, Service Implementation, IEP Review and Reevaluations, Discipline, Dispute Resolution, and Identification/Child Find.
REGISTER NOW. You can pay online, by check or in person. Space is limited to 30 registrants and is first come, first served. Because of a generous donation from the dLCV Foundation, for only $20.00, you will receive an interactive presentation with hands-on exercises plus the manual is yours to keep!
Light refreshments will be provided.
