Special Focus Tour: Gendered Experiences: Women in Early Modern England

April 2 @ 6:00 pm - 7:00 pm

| $10

Examine the everyday artifacts of Agecroft Hall through the perspective of the women in the 16th and 17th centuries.

How exactly did women and men experience everyday life in Tudor and Stuart England differently? Early modern conceptions of gender roles deeply affected women’s chores, familial duties, child birth, and status within their home and in the world beyond. Examine the everyday artifacts of Agecroft Hall through the perspective of the women who may have lived here in the 16th and 17th centuries.

This tour is intended for mature audiences and is not recommended for children age 12 and under.
