February 11 @ 5:30 pm - April 28 @ 7:00 pm| Free
– Have you ever experienced violence from an intimate partner that resulted in injury to the neck, head, or face areas from a direct blow, strangulation, hitting a hard surface, having something thrown at you, or being shaken vigorously?
– Since the incident, have you experienced difficulties in functioning such as persistent headaches , memory issues, slowed thinking, confusion, ringing in the ears, or fatigue?
– Do you feel it impacts your daily living?
We have a new group that will meet every Tuesday for 12 weeks starting on February 11th at 5:30pm at our Community Office for adult female survivors (18+) who may have acquired traumatic brain injury (TBI) as a result of intimate partner violence (IPV). The group will include education surrounding violence-related TBI, identity development, grief and loss, the impact of combined TBI and trauma, and compensatory strategies for both TBI and trauma. Registration is required. For more information or to set-up an intake appointment prior to the start of the group, please contact Trish Smith at (804)249-9470, ext. 14 or email@example.com
