Workplace Inclusion Network: “Understanding Trans Identities in the Workplace”

December 2 @ 12:00 pm - 1:30 pm

| Various membership levels

Session #5: Transgender people often have difficulty being fully out and authentic in their lives due to bigotry and prejudice. This workshop will explore how prejudice impacts the trans community and ways to create a work environment in which everyone feels they belong and can be productive. Participants will walk away with tools to have thoughtful and informed dialogue in addressing and responding to transgender-biased language and behavior at work.

Through the Workplace Inclusion Network (WIN), the Virginia Center for Inclusive Communities convenes professionals who support or lead diversity and inclusion efforts within their organizations. These gatherings provide a unique opportunity for D&I leaders to hear from experts in the field and share best practices with one another while networking with professionals from across the region. Participants/Organizations must be registered for all 5 sessions.
