United Way of Greater Richmond & Petersburg is pleased to announce that it is now accepting applications for Steps to Success grants that will begin in January 2023.
As one of the largest nonprofit funding organizations in the region, our local United Way invests in dozens of programs at nonprofits across the region. Our current funding cycle (2020-2022) is delivering a total of $8.7 million to 74 programs at 54 local nonprofits.
Beginning in 2023, we are planning to move to a one-year cycle for funding, which will allow us to invest in a more diverse range of programs and be more responsive to the region’s rapidly changing needs.
Local nonprofit agencies are invited to submit program proposals beginning today, February 1, through February 25, 2022, at 4:00 p.m. If selected, program grants will be awarded for a one-year term beginning in 2023.
All applications will be thoroughly reviewed by a team of volunteers serving on our Community Impact Council, which will make funding recommendations to our Board of Directors. We plan to announce 2023 funding decisions later this fall.
