Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House

Our ministry of hospitality is expanding to meet growing needs. Patients travel to St. Mary's from across Virginia and throughout the country to be cared for by our top physicians and to take advantage of the best and latest technology. Now, when patients are at St. Mary's, their families will have a place to call home. The Evelyn D. Reinhart Guest House will provide: overnight accomodations respite a community of support for families of critically ill patients who live more than 30 minutes from St. Mary's Hospital Studies show that patients recover faster when loved ones are near. Because our mission is to provide good help to those in need, we want to keep families close.   The 14,000-square-foot building, located on the campus of Bon Secours St. Mary's Hospital, will have 16 guest rooms and common areas for guests to eat, relax, play, work and pray. Named for Evelyn D. Reinhart, the Guest House is scheduled to open in 2014 thanks to the community's generosity.         Mrs. Reinhart was a former nurse and volunteer at St. Mary's Hospital, and to honor her work, love and care, the Reinhart Foundation provided the $1 million lead gift.  The $4 million is funded primarily through philanthropic support.   “Many of our advanced therapies require extended stays for the patients as well as their families. The Guest House Program may provide the only way these families can stay, support and nuture their loved one during their treatment.”   Dr. Gary R. Women's Services

At Bon Secours, we recognize the key role of women in families and in the community. We offer programs and services, which provide support to women from age 13 to 113.  Bon Secours Richmond Health System Celebrates Women! Bon Secours is more than just hospitals. We're members of the community with a responsibility to serve our neighbors who may be in need. We offer or partner in numerous programs aimed at making children and their families healthier, happier people. At Bon Secours, our Mission is to provide compassionate, quality health care services to those in need, including the poor and dying, to ease human suffering, and bring people to wholeness in the midst of pain and loss.   From our child care centers to our senior living facilities, Bon Secours recognizes the key role of women in families and in the community. While Bon Secours gets top marks for pregnancy and birthing care, we know that complete health care for women goes well beyond the child-bearing years. We were the first to bring digital mammography to central Virginia. We know that preventing osteoporosis now can mean a better future, and that together we can conquer heart disease — the leading cause of death for women. At Bon Secours, women live strong thanks to over 300 physicians and 115 sub-specialists who deliver specially-targeted, compassionate medical care.Join our fundraising event this fall.
