Grants Coordinator Summary: The Grants Coordinator is responsible for researching, preparing and producing draft and final form grant proposals, and tracking and reporting results. Previous experience will demonstrate a proven track record in securing new funding opportunities; comprehensive knowledge of research, and the ability to distinguish and identify funding opportunities for programming. Duties: • Research grants using online directories, personal networking, or other means. • Work with development team and education team members to identify and gather information on fundable projects and identify prospective new opportunities. • Write grant applications/proposals, grant reports, and (as requested) supporting documentation that are compelling and competitive. • Manage a shared (e.g., Google) calendar for grants, clearly showing deadlines for applications/proposals, and reports. • Collaborate with program staff regarding client services – including shadowing – to fully understand the programs and target outcomes. • Organize the application process, especially for more complex applications, to ensure that all narrative content, financial information, and other documentation and information, will be generated or received for timely submission of applications; and ensuring that the logistics of document submission are in order • Work with staff who will be involved in helping with grant applications or proposals, including giving staff adequate notice of information or content that will be required of them, with clear deadlines. • Draft or edit documents required for grant applications, in addition to the application narrative (e.g., editing job descriptions, drafting or editing organizational history, drafting letters of support) • Monitor progress, e.g., number of applications (and dollar value) of applications submitted per quarter or year; percent funded; etc. • Prepare drafted budgets for grant proposals • Work with development team and education team members to identify and gather information on • Comply with all grant reporting as required by foundation/corporate donors • Works with development team to identify and create an annual grants strategy • Meet project and proposal deadlines • Handle confidential financial information and grant materials with discretion • Communicate regularly with VP of Mission and team members • Performs all other duties as assigned Fund Development Aug 16, 2019
