Headquartered in Richmond, Virginia, and supported by public and private funding, Families Forward Virginia is a new 501(c)3 nonprofit organization. In September, 2017, Prevent Child Abuse Virginia, CHIP of Virginia, and Early Impact Virginia merged to become Families Forward. We help build healthier, stronger, more self-sufficient families by working with parents and their children through voluntary home visits, positive parenting, and child sexual abuse prevention programs. Families Forward trains and supports more than 1,000 Virginia parenting professionals and volunteers annually, and leads statewide child abuse and neglect education, awareness programs. We promote legislation, policies and programs that ensure local, state and federal decision makers support children and families.The mission of Families Forward is to disrupt the cycle of child abuse, neglect and poverty in Virginia.
