Operations Director | Heart Havens seeks a dynamic Operations Director to oversee the daily operations of Heart Havens’ residential services. This position directly supervises programmatic roles, evaluates service quality for all Heart Havens’ operations, and facilitates professional relationships with stakeholders. The Operations Director is responsible for identifying and creating program processes through collaboration with the Administrative Team and ensuring processes align with federal and state regulations, and Heart Havens’ Mission and Core Values. Essential Functions: -Supports the Senior Program Manager with daily residential program oversight through supervision and prescribing appropriate actions when necessary. -Provides guidance to the Senior Program Manager on residential program processes and materials to ensure efficiency, accuracy of documentation, and address deficits with meeting regulatory requirements. -Provides supervision and guidance to the Quality Assurance Coordinator on quality improvement program policies and procedures, risk management activities, and evaluation and monitoring of service quality in Heart Havens programs. -Provides guidance to the Quality Assurance Coordinator on establishment of measurable goals and objectives (SMART goals), and updates to the organization’s Quality Improvement Plan at least annually. -Provides supervision to the Service Facilitator with Individual Support Plan (ISP) development that includes writing Residential Part V’s and quarterly reports and completing required actions in WaMS. -Monitors regulatory changes and updates from DBHDS, DMAS and other governing bodies, identifies non-compliance or processes in need of improvement, and develops policy or procedural changes to maintain compliance. -Collaborates with team members to comprehensively address training deficits, identify growth opportunities, plan for staff development, develop quality improvement efforts, mitigate potential risks and harm, and identify trends and patterns. -Responds to external audits, inspections, and processes, such as licensing inspections, mortality reviews, and HCBS audits. -Reviews and approves incident reports (General Event Reports), including follow up actions. -Serves as a Serious Incident Reporter in DBHDS’s CHRIS system and maintains trainings on serious incident reporting guidelines set by the Department. -Leads Corrective Action planning and implementation in response to serious incidents by assigning duties to team members and monitoring follow up. -Supervises all elevated staff concerns and progressive discipline, involving the Senior Operations Director and Human Resources Director, as appropriate. -Processes resident intake and discharge and assigns activities to relevant team members. -Functions as additional point of contact for Support Coordinators, family members, and substitute decision makers. -Responds to individual and program site emergencies, as needed. -Performs other job-related duties as assigned. This position is responsible for providing day-to-day leadership that promotes a positive, value-based culture within the Heart Havens organization. This position requires quality assurance duties and employee management responsibilities. As an Residential Manager, you will empower adults with a developmental disability to live full, vibrant, and happy lives. One thing is for sure: YOU can make a difference at Heart Havens! We are looking for a Residential Manager who will encourage the individuals we support to be true members of their communities by helping them connect to community resources and events and motivate them to try new things.
