Homeownership Finance Specialis The Homeownership Finance Specialist (HFS) supports the Housing Counseling and Education Homeownership Team by preparing and organizing loan files from review to closing. The HFS coordinates loan closings with title companies, reviews the closing disclosures, prepares documents for loan closings with the closing agent, and prepares loan files for shipping to investors. The HFS serves as a liaison with closing agents and external partners in coordinating loan closings. The ideal candidate will work with the finance team to create finance spreadsheets for down payment assistance tracking. The incumbent will work with prepare and review checklist from the appropriate local government funders and create finance files for billing for funders. Other job tasks include preparing loan files for closeout and processing the certificate of satisfaction when mortgage liens expire. This is a full-time position. Primary Job Responsibilities: The Homeownership Finance Specialist primary job responsibilities include preparing closing documents based on closing instructions, reconciling closing fees to mortgage general ledger accounts, creating and preparing mortgage files for finance file set up. Reviewing purchase requisitions with finance accounts. Posts closing documents i.e. filed mortgage, final title policies and assignments. The candidate will perform other relevant duties as assigned.
