Preservation Specialist/Project Manager The Preservation Specialist/Project Manager is responsible for ensuring preservation and short and long-term maintenance plans for each Preservation Virginia property and works with external groups to advise and assist on fee-for-service projects. The position oversees and directs maintenance and capital projects at Preservation Virginia properties, including the budget and arrangements with external contractors. Annual Fund Manager Preservation Virginia Annual Fund Manager Position Description The annual fund manager’s primary responsibility is the strategic execution and management of a comprehensive annual giving program, including the coordination and oversight of supporting initiatives in the areas of development services and donor relations. The annual fund manager is responsible for cultivation and stewardship of a portfolio of donors, and works closely with the director of development and chief executive officer to support the major gifts program. Key Responsibilities 1. Coordinates the direct mail program, including membership and annual fund mailings, and builds relationships with supporters, focusing on shaping a sustainable annual giving program. 2. Manages a portfolio of mid-range supporters, scheduling at least one meeting a week (50 per year) to engage with Preservation Virginia donors 3. In coordination with the communications manager, maintain and update the donor database. Process donations and acknowledgements of gifts and pledges. This includes recording gifts in donor records, preparing and mailing acknowledgements and other necessary documentation for review by the annual fund manager. 4. Manages an annual fund committee including board of trustees and community volunteers to achieve established goals. 5. Helps plan donor and/or prospect engagement and recognition events to promote interest in Preservation Virginia. 6. Utilizes Raiser’s Edge and Donor Search programs to track donors and perform prospect research. Supports the research needs of the Director of Development and Chief Executive Officer in preparation for visits. 7. Prepares monthly reports on annual fund, designated, restricted and other gifts and provides information to the finance department for reconciliation. 8. Establishes and monitors standards and guidelines for donor-centric communications organization-wide. 9. Attends special events as appropriate to foster member and donor engagement. 10. Contributes to the effort to build a culture of philanthropy throughout the organization. 11. Supports other development initiatives as requested. Fund Development Sep 12, 2019
