In 1973, the Catholic Diocese of Richmond identified a need in the metropolitan community to care for adults of limited means. Saint Francis Home was established to meet this demand as a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. Through the years, Saint Francis has expanded its community to extend residency to 135 people at any given time. In addition to delivering support such as meal preparation, medication management, and direct care for personal needs, we strive to offer enriching programs and spiritual practices as a holistic approach to "Aging Well." Saint Francis makes every effort to enhance the life and dignity of each individual in a way that uplifts. Residents share in the life of the Home as they feel comfortable; and are reassured that they can find a sense of peace and belonging.
