St. Joseph's Villa

Mission Statement The Villa’s mission is to provide children with special needs and their families the opportunity to succeed through innovative and effective services. Our motto is: We never stop believing in children and their families. Although the large majority of those we serve come from the metro Richmond area, the Villa serves more than 30 localities throughout Central Virginia every year.  We provide a continuum of integrated care to meet the individual needs of each child and family. These services include: Special, alternative, and non-traditional education; After-school and summer programs for children with intellectual, developmental, and physical disabilities; Career and Transition Services, including internships, to prepare Villa students and others for success in employment; Therapeutic in-home, in-school, and after-school services for low-income children with mental illnesses; Regional Crisis Stabilization Unit serving children in mental health crisis with 24-hour emergency response, family support, and short-term residential care on the Villa campus. Mental health supports for youth and families; Homeless services and community-based housing programs, including prevention and rapid re-housing services, for Richmond and Petersburg/Tri-Cities; and Housing for adults who are elderly and/or have a disability.
