Annual Fund Director Purpose: The Annual Fund Director supports the Agency’s mission and strategic goals through the management and execution of its annual giving program, which includes donor and volunteer engagement. Description: As a Fulltime member of the Community Engagement team the Annual Fund Director is responsible for developing and overseeing a coordinated matrix of cultivation, solicitation and stewardship strategies that are focused on shaping a sustainable tradition of annual support for the Agency. The Annual Fund Director is not responsible for overseeing the major gifts or planned giving programs. Duties and Responsibilities: -Works with senior leadership staff and the Development Committee of the Board to develop strategies and implement tactics that will successfully increase philanthropic support for the Agency’s annual giving program. -Helps to prepare and manages annual strategic Initiatives. -Helps to prepare and manage the annual budget. -Measures, reports on and accomplishes Key Performance Indicators, making tactical adjustments as needed. -Ensures the successful implementation of a comprehensive mix of fundraising activities that include, but are not limited to, grants, direct mail/ digital marketing, and special events. -Works collaboratively with key staff and volunteers to renew and upgrade current donors, as well as to develop and implement strategies that will build the Agency’s donor base. -Develop clear, compelling case(s) for support for each annual fund solicitation. -Works collaboratively with the Major Gift Office to develop and manage a portfolio of individual and corporate donors and prospects. -Ensures that donor stewardship includes timely acknowledgements, appropriate recognition and a clear, compelling report of how the donor’s gifts are making a difference before another solicitation is made. -Ensures that fundraising and other software applications are used to their fullest capabilities and that procedures are maintained to achieve accurate and up-to-date donor records, including critical institutional knowledge that will enhance long-term donor relations. -Assures compliance with all Agency policies and procedures related to safety, discrimination and sexual harassment -Adheres to all Health Insurance Portability and Accountability (HIPAA) privacy standards -Other duties as may be assigned Knowledge/Skills Required: -Knowledge of and proven success in implementation of best practices in the field of donor-centered fundraising and volunteer engagement -Excellent written and verbal communication skills -Excellent interpersonal skills, a high degree of professionalism and strong ethical principles -Ability to establish strong and effective personal and professional relationships -A proven work ethic with a high degree of initiative and self-direction -Highly organized, with the ability to implement systems and follow-up processes to effectively manage simultaneous projects to successful conclusion -Able to work outside of routine office hours, including weekends and evenings -Safe driving record Fund Development Jul 11, 2019
