|Director of Philanthropy||The Director of Philanthropy is a key member of the WPP Development team who creates and enhances opportunities to attract and retain annual contributors and special high-level contributors to the organization’s mission. This is accomplished through crafting and executing regular and strategic current donor outreach, direct donor relationship management and stewardship, networking and securing new donor interest. This individual will be vital in helping to achieve long-term strategic financial growth to reach large-scale initiative goals, to include annual, multi-year and planned giving donors. Director of Philanthropy will work alongside the VP of Development in cultivating and soliciting mid-level and major gift commitments and will be the lead staff for growing mid-level and other gift income. This person will play leadership role in large annual fundraising and donor cultivation event, Treasures in Paradise - first in conjunction with VP of Development and in future, as lead of event. • Provide a high personal touch point of contact for assigned contributors in the Richmond market to enhance their experience as new and returning investors in the WPP mission; • Cultivate and grow relationship-based fundraising initiatives in the Richmond market by leading & growing individual donor efforts for WPP’s key events (eg: Treasures in Paradise) with high-net worth persons; • Assure annual contributor renewal and work with team to create annual campaign plan to reach targeted goals, including accurate and timely mail campaigns; • Execute acquisition and retention strategies to expand the WPP donor base and show growth with current contributors; • Collaborate with other WPP staff to identify potential donors from development and mission events, program volunteers and networking opportunities; • Partner with Communication Manager on local Richmond web-based contribution, email and social media giving strategies; • Lead staff liaison of Child Sponsorship Program, targeting and stewarding local churches, civic organizations and companies to participation; Total direct goal responsibility is $500,000. |Development Support Specialist||The Development Support Specialist full time position is an outstanding entry level position for an organized, detailed and technology- oriented individual. This individual will enjoy working collaboratively with others inside and outside the organization, in a support role to the development team on tasks associated with general fundraising and special events in order to reach assigned annual development objectives and goals and maximize organizational efficiency. • Maintain accurate data entry for development projects such as event RSVP tracking, revenue tracking, pre- and post-event reporting • Drive administrative and organizational preparations for special events and development meetings, including leading check-in/check-out processes at such events • Generate collateral materials needed for special events, donor stewardship and cultivation projects and other development initiatives • Serve as administrative liaison for Richmond Board of Directors, Emerging Leaders Board and Junior Board • Lead initiative to accurately track donor involvement in database (event participation, board/committee involvement, etc.) • Support development personnel in administrative capacities, in addition to other key executive staff • Assist with special database projects and reporting and donor cultivation projects/mailings • Communicate effectively in person and on phone with key constituents important to success of WPP operations (donors, Board members, sponsors, volunteers, vendors, etc.) • Serve in key role on site for all development related events • Cross-trained to act in absence of Office Support Specialists (accepting incoming phone calls, distributing/sorting mail, accurately completing data entry and acknowledgement letters, etc.) • Assist with major in-house mailings • Maintain development events calendar • Take and distribute accurate meeting notes from weekly development team meetings||Fund Development||Feb 5, 2018|
|Director of Development||This position is designed to maximize the growth potential of WPP Richmond’s already strong fundraising events and other future special events while further evolving the connection between these social festivities and the philanthropic impact of outright giving to the mission of World Pediatric Project. Success in this position will be achieved through strategic use of the special event platform to attract, engage and cultivate new and deepened philanthropic relationships on behalf of World Pediatric Project. • Organize, execute and grow key World Pediatric Project special events in Richmond (Rock ‘N’ Heal, Artful Healing, RVAHeals on Wheels) to exceed financial goals via collective growth in co-chair/co-host leadership, corporate sponsors, auction package sales, ticket and raffle sales and outright giving via each event. • Lead corporate sponsorship and other segments of large-scale, high-net worth fundraising event, Treasures in Paradise, in conjunction leadership of Vice President of Development • Direct volunteer Emerging Leaders Board to achieve targeted goals of growing fundraising, mission and branding reach of World Pediatric Project in Richmond market. • Generate new and support existing business partners, civic organizations and individual supporters, other external or third party events or promotions to raise funds for World Pediatric Project development efforts. • Support of overall development team initiatives —Along with other WPP Development team members, support the full successful implementation and creation of initiatives that further engage, support and attract new support to the WPP mission. This will include, but not be limited to, annual receptions through the year, follow-up with contributors, identifying and cultivating new potential donors and supporting other volunteer groups in their efforts to assist WPP. Total direct goal responsibility is $450,000. Total team goal is $1.8 million.
