Children’s Home Society of Virginia (CHS) is recruiting for a dynamic and strategic leader to serve as our agency’s Chief Programs Officer (CPO). The CPO’s primary role will be to ensure that CHS programming supports the agency’s mission, vision and values while meeting the needs of our clients and community.

CHS’s CPO will oversee implementation of the agency’s programs, supervise its programming staff, and provide leadership that ensures our agency delivers best practice services while maintaining our positive and inclusive work culture. The CPO will also ensure CHS remains compliant with state licensing requirements and keeps abreast of legislative, regulatory and programmatic trends. In addition, the CPO will assist the agency’s Board and President with formulating and implementing programs in which CHS address unmet human service needs in our community and align with our mission.

Required Qualifications:
Candidates must have at minimum a Master’s Degree in Social Work, a current Virginia clinical social work license, and five years of experience providing case work services to children and families. Candidates must also have five years of program management and supervision experience and an in-depth understanding of trauma informed services. Candidates with experience navigating the Virginia social services system are encouraged to apply.
This is a full-time, exempt position. Competitive salary commensurate with experience.
