Collegiate School is seeking a passionate, organized and charismatic choral music director for grades 5 – 12. In addition to teaching choral classes, duties will include performances for all choral ensembles grades 5 – 12, serving as the music director for the fall Upper School musical, and leading student choirs for all holiday and formal school occasions. The candidate will collaborate with the performing arts faculty to develop the choral music curriculum as part of an evolving performing arts program. This is a full-time, benefited faculty position.
Responsibilities will include:
● Teaching classes in Middle and Upper School
● Teaching individual lessons
● Preparing for all choral performances in Middle and Upper School
● Leading choral groups for all formal school occasions
● Fostering a climate of respect for each child as an individual
● Identifying and pursuing professional opportunities that enhance and extend one’s teaching
● Serving on committees and engaging in professional group work as necessary
● Participating in all required School events
● Other duties as required
