Senior Connections

Senior Connections, the designated Area Agency on Aging for seven counties and the City of Richmond, is seeking a Coordinator for the Retired Senior Volunteer Program (RSVP) and Foster Grandparent Program (FGP), sponsored by the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS). This position maintains relationships with the Volunteer Stations where volunteers serve; facilitates volunteer service projects, and assists with volunteer recruitment, orientation/training, engagement, placement, and recognition. In collaboration with staff team members, provides input on annual program plans, and ensures achievement of expected outcomes.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree in gerontology, human services, business/public administration, marketing, or related field. Position requires organizational and marketing skills with ability to handle multiple priorities and knowledge of services for older adults. The ideal candidate will have the ability to work independently and as part of a team. Experience and/or education in the nonprofit sector, senior services, and with volunteers of diverse backgrounds is desired. Must have effective verbal and written communication skills and have supervisory skills/experience. Demonstrated experience with computers and software to produce correspondence, documents, reports and other publications is required. Documented successful experience with developing grant proposals and program/project development and administration.
Beginning Salary: $36,000 annually
Health/Dental/Life Insurance; Accrued Annual, Sick & Personal Leave; Paid Holidays; Mileage Reimbursement. After one year of service, eligibility for Agency contribution to a 403b account.
