Community Foundation for a greater Richmond

The Foundation is seeking a creative and energetic Communications Associate, with an emphasis on design, to join a marketing team that collaborates across all departments to produce compelling visual and interactive content and to support marketing, branding and internal communications. This is a Salaried, Non-Exempt position.

DUTIES:
• Provide graphic design for the full spectrum of audience touch-points including but not limited to print collateral, website, social and email marketing.
• Collaborate with colleagues across the Foundation to develop creative briefs and timelines in support of marketing strategies
• Assist in the design and creation of dynamic and well thought out presentations that turn complex, detailed messages into simple and effective presentations (i.e. infographics, charts, graphs and timelines)
• Source, shoot and edit photography and videography that best represent the Foundation’s strategic priorities and work in the community
• Act as a brand steward to ensure our multimedia strategy matches our brand voice, look and tone
• Understand and apply current design principles, industry trends and best practices
• Deliver projects in a timely fashion with a focus on priorities
• Assist in vendor management
• Other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
QUALIFICATIONS: • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience preferred • 1-5 years of graphic design or advertising experience preferred • Solid computer skills including Microsoft Office and Mac systems required • Working knowledge of Adobe Creative Suite • Photography and videography skills are preferred • Ability to function effectively in a fast-paced, cross functional team environment where time-sensitive communications opportunities may factor into changing work plan priorities • Aptitude for establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with a variety of internal and external constituents • Knowledge of Richmond nonprofit community and local issues preferred
