VPM (formerly The Community Idea Stations) is seeking a Community Engagement Coordinator to provide administrative support for the Community Engagement team’s programs that connect, educate, and engage donors, viewers, teachers, and listeners. This is a full-time position located in our Richmond office that reports directly to the Vice President of Community Engagement.

This position provides administration support for our Community Engagement team, including making travel arrangements, ordering and maintaining supplies and event assets, organizing volunteers, and assisting with social media postings. This position also provides event support, including assistance setting and cleaning up, managing event registration and post event evaluation data, and helping to represent the organization at events.

Required Qualifications:
Successful candidates for this position will be organized, energetic self-starters who enjoy working in a fast paced work environment on a high energy team. Candidates should be flexible team players with a keen eye for detail and strong computer skills including knowledge of relational databases, Excel, PowerPoint, and various social media sites. Candidates should have excellent problem solving and interpersonal skills and should enjoy interacting with a wide variety of people. Candidates should have a valid VA driver’s license and the ability to lift 30 pounds. This position may require some evening and weekend hours.
