Children’s Hospital Foundation works to maximize philanthropic impact in children’s health at Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU, driving excellence in patient care, education, and research. We are dedicated to raising and stewarding philanthropic resources that will enable CHoR to become a Top 20 Children’s Hospital by 2022.

In 2019, Foundation and Hospital leadership embarked on an exciting journey that will transform pediatric health care in Central Virginia and beyond with the announcement of the construction of an inpatient children’s hospital. The new hospital tower will be constructed adjacent to the existing outpatient Children’s Pavilion on the MCV Campus and will complete an entire city block dedicated to the care of children. As part of the $350+ million construction, the Foundation is currently working to complete a $100 million capital campaign by 2022.

The Corporate Partnerships Manager manages a portfolio of area business partners who wish to support Children’s Hospital of Richmond at VCU through philanthropic and volunteer work. The Manager will aid in the planning and execution of public and consumer-facing fundraising activities inclusive of point-of-sale campaigns and unique events. The Manager will be responsible for establishing relationships with key partner contacts, and relationship management and stewardship of current partners.

Key Responsibilities:
• Manages an assigned portfolio of corporate partners; on-boards newly identified partners, guides and stewards established partnerships.
• Builds and implements a strategic year-round operating and stewardship plan for each assigned corporate partner.
• Works with key partner contacts to plan and execute fundraising activities both, initiated through the Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partnership and locally.
• Provides support for all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals branded corporate partner campaigns and special event fundraising programs as needed.
• Works with Communications team to deliver and cultivate content for numerous communication channels such as publications, newsletters and digital forums.

Required Qualifications:
College degree required with a minimum of 2-4 years of experience in fundraising, community relations, or similar field of work preferred (3+ years preferred). Blackbaud/Raiser’s Edge software experience is beneficial. Proficiency with Microsoft Office Programs and Adobe software is required. Must be a strategic thinker, efficient planner, self-motivated, and extremely organized individual. Must possess excellent verbal and written communication skills. Must have knowledge and abilities related to fundraising best practices. Must be a credible and confident public speaker with an ability to represent the Foundation in a variety of settings with diverse communities and cultures. Must provide excellent customer service to all audiences. Discretion with confidential materials required and demonstrated ability to develop and maintain effective working relationships with a broad spectrum of people: staff, volunteers, physician leaders.
