We are expanding! The Cameron K. Gallagher Foundation Development Coordinator plays a key role on the development team and reports to the Director of Development. This Development Coordinator will be responsible for securing the resources necessary to recruit, retain, and fund raise for the CKG Race Team, as well as assist in corporate sponsorship procurement and corporate team recruitment for the SpeakUp5k Richmond and National SpeakUp5k Day!

Gallagher Foundation and excited to help build and refine the development infrastructure that will help us achieve our short and long-range vision. You have a healthy understanding about the mental health challenges that face our teens and adolescents and how you fit into that landscape. You have a knack for developing and managing efficient processes. You have the technical proficiency to implement our system for tracking donor information. You are capable of working both independently and in teams, managing multiple projects and time-sensitive deadlines at the same time. You are a great collaborator, an effective communicator, and are adept at seeking and using feedback to shape your work. You are a creative problem solver. You are highly organized and pay close attention to the details, while always keeping bigger picture goals, core values, and purpose in mind.

Required Qualifications:
General Duties • Lead execution for Race Team recruitment and fund raising • Assist Director in execution of fundraising strategies for SpeakUp5k Host Cities • Assist Director in execution of individual and corporate giving • Attend networking events and Race Team events Special Events SpeakUp5k • Assist in soliciting sponsorships for all races, including cold calls, emails, prospecting, renewals • Lead execution of Corporate Teams • Assisting with managing corporate sponsors on race day • Ensuring sponsor promises are fulfilled including social media and signage • Manage thank you note process after the event SpeakUp LightUp • Assist in solicitation of auction packages, tracking solicitations and acquisitions • Work with auctioneer on bidding process, both before and during event • Work with auction winners to ensure they receive packages • Assist with managing hosts at the event Skills and Experiences Desired: • Bachelor’s Degree preferred • Must have proven track record of raising funds • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel • Proficiency in CRMs; Salesforce experience is a plus • Excellent written and verbal skills with attention to detail • Initiative, resourcefulness, and strong problem-solving skills • Comfortable speaking in front of both small and large groups • Ability to prioritize workload and meet deadlines, while maintaining attention to details • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced, open work environment • Occasional mornings, evenings, and weekends for networking, fundraising, and Race Team events • Social media experience on multiple platforms is a plus • Driver’ license in good standing • Successful passing of background check
This part time position offers a flexible work environment, generous paid time off, and holiday pay.
