Randolph-Macon College

Randolph-Macon College is seeking applications for a Director of Donor Relations/Major Gifts Officer in the College Advancement Office. Reporting directly to the Senior Director of Leadership Giving, this position manages all stewardship activity.

Responsibilities include:

1. Implementing and managing a comprehensive program of stewardship of major, first time, cumulative, consecutive, endowed fund, and annual donors.
2. Manages and enhances all facets of the College’s established stewardship program for scholarship donors.
3. Overseeing a program of regular communication and acknowledgement with donors, including donors and family members who have established endowed scholarship funds.
4. Preparing drafts of stewardship-related correspondence for the President, Vice President for Advancement, faculty, and staff as appropriate.
5. Planning and executing the annual scholarship dinner/luncheon.
6. Oversee the Parents Board, manage a portfolio of major gift prospects, and be responsible for their cultivation and solicitation.

Required Qualifications:
Qualifications: 1. Bachelor's degree and a proven track record of at least three years of successful fundraising or related experience. 2. Strong interpersonal and organizational skills, excellent oral and written communication skills, and an excitement about the process of prospect identification, cultivation, and solicitation. 3. Project management and multi-tasking skills are a necessity, as well as a sound understanding of the development process. 4. Other requisites include personal motivation to achieve ambitious goals; a working knowledge of computer databases; an appreciation for and commitment to a team-oriented, spirited approach to fund-raising; and an appreciation for the mission and values of a traditional, residential college. 5. Evening and weekend work is required.
Salary:
Salary commensurate with experience level.
