The Emergency Shelter Staff will provide direct services to residents of the emergency shelter during the evenings, weekends and overnight. Shelter staff provide coverage for shifts within the timeframe of 7 pm to 7 am. Staff will provide crisis intervention and advocacy through crisis calls on the 24-hour hotline, in-person walk-ins and/or accompaniments in order to assist the immediate needs of clients who have been affected by domestic violence, sexual violence and / or stalking. Staff will conduct intake procedures through the completion of assessments and shelter screenings. Staff will engage clients in ongoing, extensive safety planning, assist with managing day-to-day operations of the shelter and provide information and referrals to the clients as needed. Staff will also serve as on-call advocates for the agency 24-hour crisis hotline and participate as on-call staff for hospital accompaniment on a rotating basis. Must have a valid driver’s license. Flu-shot required for this position.

Required Qualifications:
* Experience - relevant: 1 year (preferred) * Education - high school or equivalent (required) * Shifts - evenings (preferred) & overnights * Hours per week - 11 to 20 (required) * Working days: -- Wednesdays -- Thursdays -- Fridays -- Saturdays -- Sundays
