ChildSavers is seeking a full-time Finance & Accounting Coordinator to support the agency’s program and operations staff. This individual will be responsible for the day-to-day financial reporting of the agency and will work under the direction and supervision of the Manager of Finance and Program Operations. The role will require an individual who is a self-starter, inquisitive, and ready to support the mission of ChildSavers. The role will allow for the opportunity to work closely with all departments within ChildSavers including Mental Health Services, Child Development Services, Human Resources, and Development.

Duties & Responsibilities include:

-Daily, monthly, quarterly, and annual maintenance of the general ledger accounting system. This will involve preparation of journal entries for monthly financial statement preparation.
-Process vendor accounts payable on a weekly basis. This individual will be responsible to ensure vendor balances remain current.
-Responsible for monthly bank reconciliations of cash accounts. Research and resolution of outstanding items and errors.
-Preparation and interpretation of key financial statements on a monthly basis, including balance sheet, income statement, and statement of cash flows.
-Process payroll on a semi-monthly basis. Coordination with HR team to ensure the accurate maintenance of employee payroll records.
-Assists with and prepares required schedules and other documentation required for the annual audit.
-Assists Manager of Finance and Program Operations with the annual budgeting process.
-Maintain accounts receivable (AR), review AR aging reports, and update program-specific statement of accounts.
-Attend monthly Finance Committee meetings with external board members. Record minutes for Finance Committee meetings.
-Other duties as assigned, under the direction and supervision of the Manager and VP of Finance and Program Operations.

Required Qualifications:
-Bachelor’s degree in accounting or finance -At least 2 years’ experience in accounting / finance -Experience working with ERP / general ledger systems -Strong understanding of accounting processes and ability to recommend and implement improvements -Detail oriented / extremely organized -Advanced Microsoft Excel skills Preferred Qualifications include: -Previous experience having worked in a non-profit environment and/or with non-profit accounting -Knowledge of Abila (MIP) Sage Accounting Software
Salary:
$49,000-$52,000 / annually
