Healthy Families Program Director

Under the direct supervision of the City Manager, the Program Director directs all aspects of the Hopewell-Prince George Healthy Families program, including but not limited to the oversight of service delivery, administrative functions, fund development, human resources functions, risk management and marketing the program. In conjunction with the Hopewell-Prince George Healthy Families Advisory Board, he/she participates in the overall planning and direction of the program.

Required Qualifications:
Minimum Education & Experience: •Bachelor's Degree in the Human Services field (Psychology, Social Work, Education, etc.) required; Master's Degree preferred. Three years experience including aspects of program planning, management, marketing and evaluation models. At least one year of mental health case management experience. Licenses and/or Certifications: •Valid Driver's License and reliable transportation with appropriate insurance coverage Knowledge, Skills & Abilities: •Demonstrated knowledge of issues related to maternal-child health, infant mental health, child abuse and neglect •Knowledge of home based service delivery •Knowledge of writing and developing policies and procedures •Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written •Effective time management skills and the ability to meet deadlines •Ability to effectively work with people of diverse cultures and backgrounds •Ability to express and transmit ideas and knowledge clearly with good organization and concisely •Ability to effectively handle crisis situations •Ability to plan effectively for client services •Ability to successfully pass a criminal and Social Services background check •Ability to write, implement and report on grants in a timely manner
