Reporting to the Development Director, the Individual Giving Manager is responsible for coordinating the solicitation and recognition of all individual gifts to Richmond Ballet, with special focus on the Annual Fund and the Road to the Future campaign, nearing completion. Duties include designing and coordinating fundraising efforts for individuals and Trustees, as well as managing donor benefit related materials and events.

This position is vital to the success of the Ballet’s development operations. The job encompasses a wide-range of activities including copy writing, prospect cultivation efforts, stewardship, and special events support.

The following are the specific responsibilities and duties of this position.
• Write the Annual Fund Plan and, in concert with the Development and Marketing Offices, revise the plan as necessary on a yearly basis.
• Develop annual fundraising campaigns, including letters, emails, postcards, etc., that is focused on the renewal and upgrade of Annual Fund donors, as well as the acquisition of new donors, and enlists staff and volunteer expertise as appropriate.
• Coordinate and execute all logistics for completion of direct mail campaigns.
• Work with Board and Staff leadership to coordinate the annual solicitation of the Ballet’s Board of Trustees.
• Track outcomes and maintain records of each fundraising campaign.
• Develop donor benefit materials and generate/distribute timely event invitations for donor benefit related events.
• Work closely with the Campaign Director to coordinate campaign and special project gifts.
• Oversee donor recognition and timely acknowledgements, including thank you notes/letters.
• Conduct major gift prospect research.
• Serve as a key member of development team and attend staff meetings as well as periodic board and/or board committee meetings.
• Attend and provide staff support for Richmond Ballet special events and performances.
• Other duties as assigned by the Development Director.

Required Qualifications:
* Bachelor’s degree or equivalent. * Minimum three years development experience, Annual Fund experience preferred. * Professional demeanor with strong customer service/donor relations experience. * Strong organizational, administrative, and communication skills, both detail and “big picture” oriented. * Solid writing, editing, and presentation ability. * Able to work on multiple tasks simultaneously and efficiently.
