Historic Richmond is seeking a highly motivated person to be the Marketing and Events Coordinator. The Marketing and Event Coordinator is responsible for helping execute the marketing strategy, managing the brand, and implementing all aspects of programming, to be put into place by Historic Richmond.

Description:
– Executes the communication strategy for all Historic Richmond advocacy and preservation efforts, and industry news to Historic Richmond stakeholders
– Promotes, markets and implements all Historic Richmond events
– Designs, creates and manages all print, digital and mass media marketing materials used including: direct mail, brochures, newsletters, pamphlets, invitations, annual reports, website content, social media content, advertisements, press releases, etc.
– Implements all aspects of programming to align with the organization’s brand
– Develop and implement Quoit Club programs and other events
– Works with preservation team to identify and document preservation efforts in Richmond
– Develops relationships with Board of Trustees, Board of Advisors, Council of Historic Richmond, Junior Board and Quoit Club
– Assists Executive Director, Director of Finance, Director of DME, Treasurer, and Chairperson of DME Committee with planning of annual budget needs related to development, marketing and education

Required Qualifications:
REQUIRED BACKGROUND Bachelor’s Degree and previous work experience Microsoft Office Strong background in Adobe Creative Suite: InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator, and WordPress Social media content and tracking DESIRED TRAITS This candidate must have effective interpersonal, verbal and written communication skills and solid computer skills. The candidate must be a self-starter, self-motivated and work well under deadlines and possess marketing instincts. The candidate must also be well-spoken to be able to give talks and tours on topics important to the Historic Richmond mission. The successful candidate will possess superior judgment, strong organizational and presentation skills, work effectively with the organization’s constituency, be creative, show initiative, and demonstrate a deep commitment to the Historic Richmond mission of preservation and education. Some occasional nights and weekend are required.
