project:HOMES improves the lives and living conditions of homeowners in Central Virginia including low income residents, older adults, and people with disabilities by making critical home repairs and improvements. Project:HOMES also changes communities by building high quality, affordable homes in transitioning neighborhoods. As a Client Services Assistant in the Revitalization Department, you will help keep annual production on track by providing program support to the Client Services Supervisor.

Job Responsibilities:
– Assist in the completion of client applications. This task will include (but not be limited to) the following methods: delivering applications to clients, following up with clients regarding missing documentation, answering questions and explaining aspects of the application to clients, scheduling appointments to meet with clients in person, and completing preliminary calculations in regards to client income and asset documentation.
– Assist in maintaining client waiting list by keeping accurate, updated, organized records after every client contact.
– Record and compile client information in the project:HOMES database.
– Occasional travel to local courthouses to file, satisfy, and research Deeds of Trust
– Preform other duties as assigned

Required Qualifications:
- Experience with documenting and reviewing sensitive financial information. This can include observing, receiving, and otherwise obtaining information from all relevant sources as well as entering, recording, and maintaining information in well written and electronic form. Minimum two year college degree or combination of education and experience. - A basic understanding of financial documents, including bank statements, mortgage statements, homeowner's insurance policies, and deeds of trust. - Experience in customer service and/or working with the general public. - Experience with evaluating information to determine compliance with standards. This will include using relevant information and individual judgement to determine whether or documentation will comply with regulations. - Strong organizational and analytical skills. - Ability to work in and contribute to a collaborative team environment. - Excellent oral and written communication skills. - Excellent computer skills, including Word, Excel, and database software. - Bilingual candidates are encouraged to apply.
