OAR is actively searching for a Reentry Services Case Manager: Bilingual Spanish desired*.

*The candidate will be able to provide case management in English and Spanish. The candidate will be able to translate forms, meetings, and documents.

The Reentry Case Manager (RCM) provides direct case management and long term follow-up support services, as needed, to persons who request OAR services.
The RCM verifies client’s eligibility (must have an adult criminal conviction—misdemeanor or felony), reviews the client’s initial screening information, explains OAR’s release of information form and obtains client’s signature, conducts an intake interview including assessments for 1) risk of recidivism and 2) service needs, prepares an initial services plan, schedules client for the Orientation and if client is going to be in the job search phase, assigns bus ticket day, explains job search log, reviews groups available, and schedules client for at least one weekly group and/or individual activity.
The RCM continues to assess and prioritize client’s service needs, confirms client’s identification documents or assists client to obtain ID documents, refers clients for services not directly provided by OAR, monitors client’s weekly job applications, reviews weekly jobs list with client, and confirms and records client’s group attendance in file.
The RCM maintains an electronic file for each client in the agency database. This includes entering services and notes for each contact with client.
The RCM provides employment counseling and job search assistance; assists clients with developing their resume; works with clients to develop a realistic budget once they have an income; assists clients with getting their free credit report, and discusses realistic housing options.
The RCM facilitates on a rotating basis the weekly OAR Orientation and other group activities as needed.
The RCM establishes and maintains contact with the client’s state or local Probation/Parole officer and service providers, e.g. Social Services, churches, shelters, housing providers.
The RCM obtains an Employment Verification Form (EVF) completed by the employer for clients who have obtained employment and submits copies of these forms weekly to the Executive Director to be entered on the job retention spreadsheet. The RCM explains the job retention program to the clients who have obtained full-time jobs of at least 30 hours per week.
The RCM maintains job retention outcome measures data by confirming employment at each retention increment, recording job retention, and awarding incentives.
The RCM coordinates post-release plans prior to release with the appropriate OAR Jail Services Case Manager when possible.
The RCM performs other duties as assigned by their immediate supervisor or Executive Director.

Required Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Social Work, Sociology or Psychology preferred. Experience in the delivery of case management and direct services required. Knowledge of local community service providers is preferred. Ability to maintain self-control in stressful situations such as interpersonal confrontations or emergencies, or defuse unstable situations. Strong attention to detail and problem solving skills. Computer proficiency, including Microsoft Office and the Internet. This position works Monday-Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. There are occasional night/weekend requirements.
$35,000 to $36,000
