Special Event Fundraising Consultant

STORY-Southside Transformation Opportunities for Residents and Youth

We are seeking a consultant to help with marketing and branding of the event, ticket sales, sponsorships and overall event planning. The consultant must have a proven track record of successful fundraising event planning for nonprofits. We prefer a consultant that can attend board and committee meetings as needed and assist the board with fundraising efforts for the event.

We expect the work to begin in April 2020 and conclude at the September event. We do not have a designated hours per week requirement.

Interested parties should submit the following:
• A proposal, not to exceed five pages and to include a proposed event plan.
• A list of past clients.
• Resumes for all relevant team members.

Proposals should contain the following:
• Contact information
• Fundraising event planning expertise
• Personnel information
• Project description/approach
• References with contact information

Applicants must clearly demonstrate the following:
• At least 3 to 5 years experience in the field of nonprofit fundraising and event planning.
• Proven knowledge of fundraising practices and successful event planning.
• Knowledge of nonprofit organizations.
• Strong communication skills.
• Experience working with boards with limited fundraising experience.
