The Vice President (VP) of Business Solutions of SOAR365 will be responsible for the growth and profitability of SOAR365’s Business Solutions Division. Business Solutions provides jobs and job training in a variety of settings for individuals with disabilities. Profits from this Division provide financial support for SOAR365’s Human Services. This is a full-time position that reports to the Chief Executive Officer and serves as a key member of the leadership team of the organization.
The successful candidate will be a seasoned executive with demonstrated success leading a growing business unit or company in either a corporate or not-for-profit setting.
Responsible for managing a growing, profitable $12M business to meet the financial goals of the organization.
Ensures operational compliance with the laws, regulations and procedures required by funding, licensing and/or certifying entities; maintains strong working knowledge of all such requirements.
Assures effective working relationships with customers, regulators and vendors including but not limited to AbilityOne, SourceAmerica, Defense Logistics Agency, Henrico County, VA DARS, and VA DBHDS.
Assures focus on business development including acquisition and expansion of federal contracts, commercial business, and community-based employment opportunities and assures timely response to RFIs, RFPs and bid solicitations.
Develops routine sales process and reporting disciplines.
Actively involved in external entities that support the mission and facilitate growth (i,e. VaAccses, ChamberRVA).
Participates as a member of the Agency’s Management and Executive Teams.
Actively participates in the development of the Agency’s Strategic Plan. Responsible for high quality implementation and timely completion of initiatives related to Business Solutions
Responsible for the development of the annual budget for Business Solutions.
Manages, recruits and develops a high-performance team.
Completes all assigned tasks related to overall Agency objectives.
Responsible for maintenance of all Agency facilities and vehicles.
Assures compliance with all Agency policies and procedures related to sexual harassment and discrimination, the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) and the Agency’s Human Rights plan.
Attends all training sessions and staff meetings as may be required.

Excellent written and verbal communication skills – able to communicate orally and in writing, be responsive to verbal and written communication, and contribute to development of complex proposals. Able to interface with a variety of audiences, both internal and external with the credibility and poise to present to a wide range of stakeholders. Collaborative approach to generating, evaluating, negotiating and contracting new business opportunities. Ability to develop/analyze/implement and achieve budgets. EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE: College degree in business or a related field required, Masters preferred. Minimum of ten years of experience in an executive management role with full P&L responsibility in a corporate or nonprofit organization. Proven success at developing and implementing strategic plans to profitably grow a business. Innovative thinker, with a track record for translating strategic thinking into actions plans and results. Experience building, leading and mentoring a team of business professionals. Superior management skills, including the ability to advocate for and manage to budget priorities. Strong project management skills. Presence and confidence to project credibility to staff, senior leaders, Board of Directors and stakeholders. Self-reliant, problem solver and results oriented. Federal contracting experience is a positive, but is not required.|
