This position supports the Virginia Quality initiative (Virginia’s QRIS) by assisting with administration, quality assurance and the processing of quality level ratings. This full time position is shared between VDSS and VECF. VECF is an equal opportunity employer and maintains a drug-free workplace.

Specific responsibilities include:
• Reviewing and monitoring program submissions for quality level designations (Hub reviews)
• Providing technical assistance to Quality Coordinators, Raters and Technical Assistance Specialists
• Communicating with Quality Coordinators, Raters, Specialists and other partners regarding meetings, trainings and other pertinent announcements
• Coordinating logistics for Hub Team and Quality Coordinator meetings
• Taking notes during Coordinator meetings; reviewing notes with Hub team and then finalizing notes for distribution
• Compiling monthly & quarterly VA Quality program reports
• Collecting QRIS data as needed for VDSS/VECF evaluation reports or funding applications
• Monitoring rater status within the QRIS data system to ensure on-site observation ratings are only conducted by approved and reliable Virginia Quality raters
• Maintaining records for coordinators and specialists within the QRIS data system
• Assisting with the development and presentation of trainings as applicable. (i.e. providing orientation website training for new coordinators, raters and/or specialists when needed)
• Assisting with the development of resource materials as requested by Hub Team

Required Qualifications:
The position requires a personal commitment to the Foundation’s vision that every child in Virginia will enter kindergarten healthy and ready to succeed in school and in life. The ideal candidate will have: • Bachelor Degree in Early Childhood Education/Child Development, related field, or specialty field of expertise from a regionally accredited institution • Proven success in project management and working with a team • Knowledge of early care and education quality standards (i.e. Licensing Standards and/or other ECE program standards) • Strong written and oral communication skills • Outstanding organizational skills and ability to meet strict timeframes • Ability to successfully work with diverse populations and high profile leadership • Strong computer skills in word processing, spreadsheets, and webinar management Preferred candidates will also have experience or knowledge of: • Virginia Quality Standards and/or Quality Ratings process • Virginia’s Competencies for Early Learning Professionals
