The Supervisor of Senior & Volunteer Engagement develops, leads, and supervises volunteer programming for JFS. The supervisor provides support and socialization for clients through direct service and large events as well as meaningful engagement opportunities to members of the community to help ensure ongoing volunteer support for JFS. Supervisory and staffing responsibilities include direct services such as Telephone Reassurance/Friendly Visitors and large group activities such as EnRich for Life (monthly event for older adults).

Responsibilities:
 Recruits, conducts onboarding process, supervises, trains, recognizes, and evaluates volunteers from diverse pools – individuals and groups. This includes communications and training with volunteers using a variety of media.
 Collaborates with community partners and agency staff to determine opportunities for future volunteer engagement.
 Identifies client needs when necessary and researches community resources for them with the assistance of volunteers and agency programs.
 Maintains program statistical information, client and volunteer personnel records and ensures COA (Council on Accreditation) compliance.
 Utilizes existing policy and procedures and/or develops policies and procedures for the optimal utilization of volunteer services and retention of quality volunteers.

Required Qualifications:
 Bachelor’s degree preferred;  Community leadership and volunteer experience preferred;  Experience in planning and implementing community outreach and recruiting activities;  Ability to communicate orally and in writing;  Proficiency in Microsoft Office;  Proactive, enthusiastic leadership style;  Has the ability to work on his/her own or in a group setting;  Able to envision vibrant, sustainable programming
Salary:
Commensurate with experience
