Additionally, upon successful completion of the 10-week course each participant will receive a laptop computer to take home! Jose participates in our TechConnect program, a technology class for middle school students. Jose’s mom said her son is one of four children and when it’s time for homework she gets a little frantic about being able to help each of them. Receiving the new laptop from TechConnect will allow Jose and his siblings to access research materials, prepare projects, and write papers much easier than in the past. Through TechConnect students are introduced to basic computer software while encouraged to be curious and experiment so they can learn at their own speed. This program helps students become familiar with technology and fosters innovation.
