Tip of the Week: Find Community Data


Quickly and easily find pertinent data on the health of Central Virginia — broken out by counties and cities — from poverty to unemployment to education to health. ConnectVA’s Community Vital Signs provides a centralized location for local data that can quickly provide you with an overall picture of our community’s health.

Also on the page is the US Census Bureau?s Easy Stats Tool – which gives quick and easy access to selected statistics collected by the U.S. Census Bureau?s American Community Survey; collected each year by state, county, towns/cities and census designated places (CDP).  With Easy Stats, you can view detailed racial, age and sex breakdowns and much more.

The site also houses various local reports and data resources created by various agencies and organizations on issue areas, such as homelessness, veteran?s issues, poverty, regional socioeconomic data, county health rankings and transportation reports.
